Samajwadi Occasion MP Azam Khan’s son and Uttar Pradesh MLA Abdullah Azam Khan used to be on Wednesday detained by the police for allegedly obstructing raids being conducted at the Maulana Ali Jauhar University in Rampur.
The Uttar Pradesh police had conducted raids within the premises of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, which is headed by Abdullah’s father Azam Khan, on Tuesday as effectively. Abdullah is the Chief Executive Officer of the University.
Sources had acknowledged that as many as 2,000 stolen, uncommon and worthwhile, books had been recovered from the library for the length of the raids. The raid used to be conducted on the foundation of FIR, filed at the Ganj police space on June 16 about lacking books from the enviornment-smartly-known Raza library and Madarsa Alia.
In every other unrelated vogue, a case used to be registered against the Samajwadi Occasion MLA on Tuesday for allegedly forging documents to safe passport. The FIR used to be registered at the Civil Lines police space, citing discrepancies within the age proof submitted by him.
The grievance used to be filed by Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) chief Akash Saxena.
In his grievance, the BJP chief alleged that Abdullah Khan obtained a passport on the foundation of false documents. Saxena claimed that the SP chief has mentioned assorted initiating dates in education certificates and the passport documents.
Fixed with police sources, Abdullah Khan has been booked below Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code and Allotment 12 of the Passport Act.
Abdullah Khan represents the Suar constituency of Rampur district.
