World’s Fastest Electric Car?

The craze for supercars never takes the name to stop anywhere in the near future.  Also the trend of electric powered cars in taking over the market slowly. But there is a myth that electric cars can’t go fast. Is it really true?

Well, that’s a thing of the past. A Chinese electric car manufacturing startup NextEV launched their all new vehicle under their new brand Nio which they claim to be the world fastest electric car.

This fastest electric car in the world can go up to a top speed of 313 kilometres per hour. The model name of the so-called fastest electric car in the world is Nio EP9. This car can go from zero to 200 kilometres per hours in just 7.1 seconds.

Now to answer the most common question that might come up in your mind – “Fast electric cars drain their battery fast”. This is not the case with the EP9. The Nio EP9 can charge up completely in 45 minutes and has a range of 427 kilometres on a full charge.

What the company people had to say!

“The Nio EP9 was born to push limits and is the first stage of automotive production for Nio,” said NextEV founder William Li. “It is a statement of our vision and technical and manufacturing capabilities.”

“It is a best-in-class product that showcases what is possible with electric vehicles,” he continued. “We believe that when the car ownership experience exceeds expectations, electric vehicles will become the natural choice for everyone, leading to a more sustainable tomorrow.”

The TEST!

In an attempt to showcase the cars true potential the company raced an EP9 around the Nürburgring track in Germany and left its mark by beating the previous fastest electric car record with its 7:05:12 time.

The BUILT!

A car like this cannot be made with just the usual design and material. And that’s entirely true in the case of the EP9 as well.

The entire cockpit and chassis are made out of carbon so that the car can cut off on the major weight issues. The EP9 rear wing lifts to three positions to achieve twice the downforce of a regular Formula One car.

This car is a true beauty and let’s see how to takes over the roads in real time.
