Microsoft has finally announced the release of their much awaited mobile OS update – Windows 10 mobile update. Although many people out there say that it is rumour, and some say that the date will change, but as of now, the Windows 10 mobile is scheduled to release on March 17th, 2016.

The Nokia and Microsoft Lumia model devices will be getting an update, but the list of supported devices or the list of devices which will be receiving the update first is not disclosed.

The strong point that we have as of now that the update is out now is, the landing page of Windows 10 mobile had text which read “The latest and greatest Windows experience is coming to Lumia smartphones” but now has changed to “The latest and greatest Windows experience is now on Lumia smartphones”.

The update is said to follow what is being called as a ‘pull model’, where the devices that want to upgrade will have to initiate it manually, which means that there will not be any OTA notification.

Let’s hope that these rumours are true and we get to experience the Windows 10 mobile magic as soon as possible.
